Izak grew up in Montagu, South Africa and started playing golf at the age of 10.  He was the club champion in various divisions at his home course.

His dad, Pix Fouché, a golf course superintendent, taught him the basic fundamentals of the game of golf and about life.  Izak was part and represented Tygerberg College Golf Team from 1989 -1992, he played on the Tygerberg Inter-College golf team and never lost a match play competition during this time.

At the end of 2000, Izak returned to practicing and playing golf, while working with his dad (Pix) at the De Zalze Golf Estate, Stellenbosch, South Africa.  This was the beginning of his career in the golf industry.  For the next couple of years, Izak played and improved his game. Sam Frost helped him gain valuable knowledge during this time. At the end of 2006, Izak had the opportunity to go to Florida and teach golf, an experience that he embraced wholeheartedly. Between 2007 and 2010, he traveled between Florida and South Africa while teaching and playing golf around the world.

2009, saw Izak in the field for the RBC Canadian Open qualifier at Heron Point Golf Club, Ancaster, Ontario.  He fell in love with Canada's natural beauty and similar lifestyle to South Africa.   He returned home due to a family emergency in 2010, to be with his family and friends, however in 2012, he returned to Burlington, Ontario to teach golf at Within Range Golf Centre.

He still has his sights set on the Senior PGA Tour, Project 5.0 and during the next couple of years, he will continue to compete in local tournaments.  Izak is proud to be associated with the PGA of Canada.
